Project Management
Client Need Summary:
A well-planned business resiliency program consists of multiple projects designed to ensure that the overall program is implemented properly. Each project will cover a specific aspect of the program (e.g., business unit, technology platform, testing platform, testing, etc.) and each project requires a specific manager.
Approach:
A well-managed project consists of the following activities:
- A documented project plan that prioritizes tasks, identifies interdependencies between tasks and assigns resources to each task.
- Regularly scheduled meetings to discuss progress being made and any issues that have arisen.
- Structured status reports provided to the program management office and/or the program sponsor(s).
The Solution:
The successful creation of a project management network will propel the successful completion of a business resiliency program and provide a program status and required reports at any point. The status reports will identify any delays in the program; cost allocation reports will identify any potential overruns in program costs. |
